Seven Words - Two
Sparse and mysterious, the text begins by introducing the criminal's plea to the dying Savior. The Word serves as the refrain throughout. The text turns personal, noting that the criminal's plea is every sinner's plea. Finally, the text turns brighter, as does the music, as we in faith cling to the promise that Jesus' answer is for us, too: one day, we will join him in paradise. SATB with piano accompaniment.
